I did that with my dog Lucky way back and he looked like a piece of sausage (the cloth is pinky)!
well, the cloth color is blue, it is happened when we took that photo, the cloth did not show much in the picture!

we took the photos, however, it does not show their "clothes" to much! I wonder why! you have to look closer in order to find the clothing!
the cosplay part did not come so well! (but when they wore those clothes, they looked very cute and funny! )

BTW, my wife, she just "found" an exotic short hair (garfield) kitten in front of her house and now, he is our new member of our family!
our new kittey, we name him Ruby, he exactly looks this, except his color is yellow.
